Jag går mellan grovbarkade stammar
Under solljus som skiner mellan tallkronorna
Jag går vart jag vill, ingen frågar
Här i livets oändliga skog

Mina tankar är klara i mörker
Men månen samlar in dem när solen går opp

Är mitt svar att jag funnit ett hopp

Mina fötter är ömma och trötta
Här bland träden står kvällssolen röd

Forest

I walk amongst rough bark trunks
Beneath sunlight that shines down between the pine tops
I walk where I please, no one asks
Here in life’s never-ending forest

My thoughts are clear in darkness
But the moon gathers them in when the sun rises
If you ask me for what I plan
My answer is that I have found hope

My feet are sore and tired
Here amongst the trees the evening sun is red
Here in the forest my thoughts are my own
